1995 MNCT Hill Land Report

An interest in managing the Manx uplands is not a new thing. In 1995 the MNCT, the precursor to the Manx Wildlife Trust carried out a hill-land survey and organised a seminar at King Williams College.

A number of recommendations were put forward, some of which are now outdated and others still of relevance, notably one of which was to form a ‘hill-land working group’, a role that is now being fulfilled by the group working on the ‘Uplands Strategy’.
