Fisheries
Who we are and what we do
The Fisheries Division of the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture is responsible for the conservation of marine and inland fishery resources and the regulation of associated activities. The Division sits within the Environment Directorate of the Department.
Our Division is composed of four teams;
- Sea Fisheries Policy,
- Fisheries Enforcement,
- Marine Conservation, and
- Inland Fisheries.

We are committed to working effectively and in partnership with stakeholders, including the fishing industry, anglers, wildlife and marine conservation groups, and the wider public.
The Fisheries Division would encourage members of the public to report any suspicious incidents relating to fisheries matters to the Department for further investigation email: fisheries@gov.im
