Visiting the Public Record Office

Due to our Heritage Open Days event, our Reading Room will be closed at the following times:
Thursday 28 September - PM only (2pm to 5pm)
Friday 29 September – All day
Friday 6 October – All day

The Public Record Office is 2.5 miles outside Douglas on the Spring Valley Industrial Estate, Unit 40A. There is free parking available and it is close to bus route 21B. For further details of public transport, please visit the Bus and Rail website.
We are open to the public on:
- Thursday 9.30am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm
- Friday 9.30am to 1pm and 2pm to 4.30pm
We recommend that you contact us in advance of a visit to check whether we have the records you wish to consult and to make an appointment to visit. Also, if you are not able to visit on a Thursday or Friday, please contact us as we may be able to arrange an appointment at other times.
