Graham Cregeen MHK, Minister for Education, Sport and Culture, said:

‘These awards were generously instigated by the North American Manx Association to commemorate the millennium of Tynwald in 1979 and have become a traditional high point in the education calendar.

‘They reward young people with talent and who give time to the community, including those who overcome considerable challenges to do so.’

The awards – specially-minted medals – will be presented at the Barrool Suite in the Tynwald building on Friday 6 July.
