The Education, Advice and Support (EAS) division was formed to provide a clear integrated support network, intended as a single point of referral for advice, guidance and support for education.

Leads the EAS division of DESC
- Provides leadership and monitors the planning and implementation of the strategy direction of the Education Advice division
- Line manages EAS Partners
- Actively contributes to policy formulation and improvement projects, reviews and monitors the implementation of policies for EAS
- Contributes to the appointment process for senior school based staff

- Analyses examination results and reports back to DESC
- Leads and/or contributes to improvement projects as required on the Department Plan
- Coordinates external examination CPD opportunities for secondary staff including ensuring access to specific training
- Co-ordinates DESC's approach to Employability in secondary schools
- Chairs 14-19 Consortium
- Line manages and leads the Careers Advisory team

- Link Partner to a group of primary schools providing support and challenge to support school improvement.
- Coordinates support and development for Early Years professionals including those in private and voluntary settings
- Leads the development, implementation and mentoring of the Early Years Quality Mark
- Line manages the Early Years Advisory teachers
- Contributes to the appointment process for senior, primary, school based staff
- Leads and/or contributes to improvement projects as required on the Department Plan

- Leads and/or contributes to improvement projects as required on the Department Plan
- Coordinates support and development for English in primary schools
- Coordinates support for Early Career teachers (ECTs) and assures the quality of this provision to ensure that the Department fulfils its role as the 'Appropriate Body'
- Supports collaboration and partnerships between schools
- Coordinates the Department's approaches to assessment and its application across all aspects of primary education
- Contributes to the appointment process for senior, primary, school based staff
- Coordinates support and development for maths and science in primary schools
