Manx Curriculum

The Manx Curriculum website has been designed for primary and secondary school teachers and supports the teaching of various elements of the Manx Curriculum.

There are many organisations on the Island who provide help and information for schools and who promote many aspects of Manx heritage and culture. One of the aims of the Manx curriculum website is to pull all these together into one place so it will save teachers the time in looking for contacts or resources as they will all be held centrally.

It is hoped that the Manx curriculum website will continually evolve. As more teachers send in Manx based resources that they have found useful it will therefore prevent teachers from continually reinventing the wheel and duplicating Manx resources.

There is also the facility, through email, for teachers to request resources that they need and also to send in other helpful contacts, websites, ideas or photographs to be included on the website and to generate ideas for other ways to promote and teach the Manx Curriculum.

A Manx curriculum wiki also forms part of a wider Isle of Man schools' wiki, being developed by Department of Education and Children advisers as an invaluable resource for teachers and students alike.
