Civil Registry

The Civil Registry is part of the Central Registry within the Department of Economic Development and is responsible for registering life events such as births, deaths, marriages and civil partnerships which take place on the Isle of Man.

The Civil Registry is in Douglas with registration offices also available in Castletown (operated by Castletown Commissioners), Peel (operated by Peel Town Commissioners) and Ramsey (operated by Ramsey Town Commissioners).

Location

The Civil Registry, including its ceremony room, is located on the ground floor of the Registries Building on Deemsters Walk, just off Bucks Road, opposite the Courts of Justice building in Douglas.

Opening Hours

Monday to Thursday: 9.30am to 4.30pm 
Friday: 9.30am to 4pm
