New interim director of Information Systems Division appointed (1)

The Department of Economic Development has announced the appointment of Mark Lewin as the new interim Director of its Information Systems Division (ISD). The appointment is for one year to allow for the longer-term role of ISD within IOM Government to be reviewed.

Mark Lewin ISDMark has accumulated over 25 years in the private sector both in the Isle of Man and further afield. He brings a wealth of experience to the role from his time as Head of Technology for RBS International as well as extensive positions in technology strategy, change management and project delivery. Mark also has a wide reaching experience of leadership in other environments with previous positions including Managing Director of Isle of Man Bank and Deputy Chief Executive of Sefton Group plc. Mark is currently working as a strategic consultant to the Isle of Man Banker’s Association.

Commenting on his appointment Mark Lewin said:

Chris Corlett, Chief Executive of the Department of Economic Development, said:

Tony Wild MLC, Political Member with responsibility for ISD, added:

Mark takes over from Allan Paterson, who retires from the post after over 10 years of service, during which time ISD has gained many successes and accolades. Mark will join the Department on a part time basis from December, fully taking up the role in January 2013 when his current work on behalf of the Isle of Man Banker’s Association is completed.
