Small Grants are for projects delivered by Manx charities over a period of two years. Any project funded will be required to meet the international development policy objectives agreed by the Council of Ministers. Funding will be paid in two instalments in line with financial regulations. The second instalment will be provided following the submission of a satisfactory end of year one report. The budget allocated for Small Grants is £270,000 per year, or £540,000 over each two-year funding cycle.
Any charity funded will be required to demonstrate both a physical presence on the Isle of Man and must be registered under the Isle of Man Charities Registration Act 1989. Small Grants projects will need to demonstrate the ability to raise a minimum of 10% of the total funding allocated from fundraising, or other donors. Applications will need to include a communications plan setting out specifically how they will publicise any project funded on the Island by the Isle of Man Government.
