The UK has left the EU. There will now be a transition period from 31 January to 30 December 2020 During the transition period existing rules and arrangements will remain in place to allow business to trade with Europe in the same way they do now. The Isle of Man's relationship with the EU after the transition period will be dependent on the agreement on the future relationship reached between the UK and the EU. Use the information below to find out what actions that you and your business can take now to prepare for the end of the transition period and the future relationship. Some but not all of these new rules will apply to the Isle of Man. The Isle of Man Government has been working with the UK government since the referendum to ensure that the Island is prepared for the end of the transition period.
New Trade deals with the European Union and the Rest of the World may well provide opportunities for Isle of Man businesses as negotiations progress.
