The General Data Protection Regulation is an EU law which aims to strengthen and unify data protection for all individuals within the European Union - as well as the export of personal data outside the EU.

At a time when personal data, privacy and the financial power of big data are under close scrutiny GDPR will introduce a new set of rights and responsibilities for EU citizens and businesses.

This conference looked at the impact of GDPR on the Isle of Man and our economy, the role of Government and private businesses, and the changes it will bring about in the way we handle data in future.
