GDPR Conference by Isle of Man Government
Wednesday 24 January 2018 - 09:30am to 11:30am
Best Western Palace Hotel & Casino
The General Data Protection Regulation comes into force on 25th May 2018 after a two-year transition period. It has been created to strengthen and unify data protection for all individuals within the European Union - as well as the export of personal data outside the EU.
At a time when personal data, privacy and the financial power of big data are under close scrutiny GDPR will introduce a new set of rights and responsibilities for EU citizens and businesses.
This conference will look at the impact of GDPR on the Isle of Man and our economy, the role of Government and private business, and the changes it will bring about in the way we handle data in future.
