Council committees, sub-committees and boards

The Council of Ministers is supported by a number of committees, sub-committees and project boards which are chaired by Ministers.

These bodies have an important role in progressing Government priorities and ensuring new policy initiatives meet the Council of Ministers' overall strategic aims. They may focus on a specific topic, consider and report on important current issues, or review and refine proposals before they are presented to Council for approval.
