|Title||Wild Animals (Restriction on Importation etc) Act 1980: consultation on changes to the scheduled wild animals|
Consultation on proposals to replace the schedule, listing animals that are a potential danger to the public, an ecological risk, or that pose animal welfare issues where kept privately in captivity. Questions are raised with regard to the criteria used, the proposed schedule, whether to include fish, and how to deal with hybrids. The Act controls importation and possession, with provisions regarding escapes.
