Videos are classified under one of the following six general categories:-
Uc - This means that the film or programme is suitable for anyone but especially for very young children.
U - This means that the film or programme can be seen by people of all ages. A family film.
PG - Parents need to check up on a film or programme classified PG before showing it to younger children. It can have some violence or horror scenes in it or nudity or swearwords.
12 - The film is unsuitable for anyone under the age of 12. There may be scenes of violence, sex or swearwords which are too strong for PG videos.
15 - A 15 video is unsuitable for anyone under 15 and may be fairly adult in nature.
18 - Videos only suitable for people over 18 due to their adult nature. There may be strong scenes of sex or violence and strong swearwords.
