Curraghs Wildlife Park

Attractions

Most of the Wildlife Park is laid out in geographical sections, representing different continents of the world and the animals that can be found there. The central part of the Wildlife Park follows a different format and contains specific animal exhibits and visitor attractions.

Close Beg is a children's farm area with typical domestic animals, an indoor and outdoor play area and toilets. A miniature railway, the Orchid Line, runs around the outside and also around The Ark. This is where we explain how habitat loss threatens wildlife around the world and why zoos and wildlife parks are now having to breed animals in captivity.

Next to the Orchid Line, Life on Islands is a series of linked exhibits explaining how animals on islands respond to the special challenges they face. Here you will see many endangered species, including fruit bats, lemurs, Bali starlings and waterfowl.

Animal Encounter talks are held in the Rainforest Theatre
