Rebuilding and Refurbishment of Pumping Stations

The new Pumping Station at the Howe The Authority has a progamme of rebuilding or refurbishing pumping stations over the strategic business plan, which will undoubtedly improve the reliability of the water supply right across the Island.

The pumping stations that have been refurbished are equipped with pump control panels that include Programmable Logic Controllers [PLC's], which will monitor reservoir levels, water pressure and flow rates. The system can also immediately identify any pump failures and automatically switch operations to the second pump on standby as and when required.
