New treated water pipeline

As part of the ongoing renovation of the Island’s water pipeline network and to coincide with the construction of the new works, the existing main supplying treated water to the Cronk ny Mona service reservoir was replaced.

This project was a joint venture with Manx Gas, who were laying a new gas main along a similar route through Cronk y Berry.

Once again, both the Authority and their partners were sensitive to the unique aspects of undertaking work in such a highly residential area. Manx Gas and their contractor, Mann Construction completed this work by mid-August 2006, one month ahead of schedule.
