In this, the ISD website, we intend to give merely a flavour of the Division - our purpose, our Customers, etc. - in other words, to answer Kipling's challenge. The Why is the most important question - if ISD have a single, overwhelming purpose it is to help Government take maximum benefit from technology in delivering joined-up public service which is continually improving, and to contribute to the development of the Isle of Man as the e-island.
