I am going abroad for my holidays. What are my duty free allowances?

It depends where you are going. If you are travelling from outside the EU the allowances are as follows :

 
200cigarettes or
100cigarillos or
50cigars or
250gms oftobacco
2 litres ofstill table wine or
1 litre ofspirits over 220 volume or
2 litres offortified wine, sparkling wine or other liquers
60cc/ml ofperfume
250cc/ml oftoilet water
£145worth of all other goods inc. gifts and souvenirs

If you are travelling from an EU country the guidelines for your own use are as follows (note, from 1 May 2004, ten new countries joined the EU. Special rules apply if you bring cigarettes and some tobacco products in the UK/IOM from some of these countries. Please contact us for further information.):
