The Treasury delivers a wide range of services across the public sector, to the Manx community and internationally. We focus on supporting the economy, local businesses and residents of the Island by being the best possible custodian of our financial resources.

The department comprises six key service areas: Income Tax, Customs and Excise, Social Security, Financial Governance, Financial Advisory and Audit Advisory.

Treasury's purpose and strategic direction is underpinned by the Island Plan core strategic objective of building a secure, vibrant and sustainable future for our Island. The One Government approach principles of stewardship, prioritisation and accountability inform our services, helping us to be a financially responsible government while providing services that meet the needs of the community, creating a strong and diverse economy. Treasury's strategic direction is further influenced by the vision within the Island Plan to focus on straightforward delivery on the issues that matter most, with clear emphasis on creating a sustainable future.
