Prove your skills and win a trip to the Belgian Grand Prix.

The next Young Driver 2008 event has been planned for the 12th July at the Grandstand in Douglas. A driving skills challenge will be attempted by all who enter with a fabulous prize on offer to the most skilful driver on the day.

The challenge will be split into four elements – 2 in car exercises, an under the bonnet check and spotting the faults on a static vehicle. Each competitor will be given a timed appointment – you can book your slot by downloading the entry form and posting it back to the Road Safety Team. The competition is open to any car driver aged 25 and under who has a full driving licence.

The person who completes the 4 elements with the most accuracy and in the quickest time will win a trip to see the Belgian Grand Prix in September. The prize includes return flights from the Isle of Man to Manchester, return flights from Manchester to Brussels, 4 nights hotel accommodation and two 3 day passes to the grand prix! The winner will be announced at the end of the competition and the results will be posted on the website. You must be available to travel between the 4th and 8th September 2008.

Download the application form now and enter for your chance to win this amazing prize. A timed appointment will be posted out to entrants on the 1st July. Even if you don’t win, by taking part in the challenge you will have increased your own driving skills.

Are you up to the challenge?

In the event of excess demand a draw may be held to select the competitors. No alternative prize will be awarded. The prize includes, return flights from the IOM to Manchester, return flights from Manchester to Belgium, 4 nights hotel accommodation and two 3 day passes to the formula one grand prix at Spa Francochamps. All other incidental expenses are the responsibility of the winner. Judges decision is final. In the event of unforeseen circumstances the organisers reserve the rights to cancel or adjust the competition as necessary. In the event of a higher than anticipated number of entries a draw may take place or the event may be extended to run over 2 days, 12th and 13th July. A decision will be made on the 20th June as to whether a second day will take place and all entrants will be informed.
