QDo I need to register with the DTI?
AYes all contractors we employ must be registered with the DTI, for more information go to the DTI website
QI am a UK contractor can I apply for work?
AYes, however be aware that the Isle of Man Government operates a work permit system for off-Island contractors, further information is available here
QHow do I find out what work is available for me to apply for?
AThere are two ways, firstly for large construction schemes we will advertise in all three of the Island’s newspapers as well as on this website. For smaller work we operate a number of select lists the applications for which can be found on this website.
QHow long will I have to wait to get paid?
AWe endeavour to pay all suppliers/contractors within 30 days of a correctly presented invoice being received by us.
QWhy do I keep getting asked to provide quotes rather that just being given an order?
AIn order to ensure value for money for the taxpayer we will obtain three quotes from suppliers and contractors if the purchase exceeds certain levels of expenditure.
