Human Rights

The Chief Secretary of the Isle of Man Government has issued a policy on the Manx Human Rights Act 2001 which can be found here.

The Act incorporates the fundamental rights and freedoms in the European Convention on Human Rights into Manx domestic law. The Act makes it unlawful for a public authority to behave in a way which contravenes those rights. If the information here does not answer your questions, please email us at enquiries.co@gov.im or telephone +44 1624 686409.
