Planning
Most members of the public will never have cause to use the services of the Planning Office, accordingly many will have little or no experience of how the system works. Advice is therefore on hand at all levels for the enquirer. For more information please go to our planning advice page. Also, if you wish to know more about making a planning application, go to our Making an Application page.
The Island is divided into 17 Parishes (Douglas Town is part of the Onchan Parish) and the Division has 5 Development Control Officers (aka Planning Officers) each covering specific areas of the Island. Further details of these Officers, and a map showing their areas of responsibility is available in the Contacts page.
