All Isle of Man Survey maps prepared on or on behalf of the Department of Infrastructure, or its predecessors the Department of Local Government and the Environment or Local Government Board, in hard copy or digital form, fall under the Copyright Act 1991 (of Tynwald).

Any person or organisation wishing to:

• Publish or re-print a publication based directly or indirectly on Isle of Man Government material, including any act of copying which results in hard copy on paper, film or any other permanent visual medium;
• Obtain and use Isle of Man Survey Digital Map Data;

must apply to the Cartographic Section of the Department of Infrastructure for a licence.
