| Description | This consultation concerns a proposal, by the Department of Infrastructure, for a set of new Building Regulations based on changes to the Building Control Act 1991. The consultation encompasses matters concerning Building Regulations in particular those in relation to the Conservation of energy, Fire safety, Drainage, Prevention of waste, Water efficiency and the future security of our homes. Some parts of the Regulations are also revised to improve current working practice as well as reduction in number of requirements whilst requiring similar standards of workmanship for exempt work such as porch, conservatories and replacement windows etc. |
