Kayaking
Whether you are a complete beginner or are experienced at paddling, the Isle of Man is a perfect place to try sea kayaking and can be as relaxing or demanding as you choose.
Overview
With over 100 miles of coastline there really is no better place to view the Island’s stunning cliff formations and rolling hills than from the water.
Enjoy an evening paddle and watch the sun set on the secluded bay of Niarbyl, in the west of the Island, or take part in a heart stopping adventure as you ride the tidal waves and overfalls around the Calf of Man, in the south, where you’re bound to spot some inquisitive seals.
If you have a strong sense of adventure why not try a kayaking expedition? You’ll paddle all day before stopping to light a campfire on a secluded beach and then settle down to sleep under the stars.
Whichever kayaking experience you choose you’ll visit secret places and marine caves which are only accessible by the small sea craft – if you’re lucky you’ll be joined on your journey by sea birds and marine animals including puffins, dolphins and basking sharks. Don’t forget your waterproof camera!
