Erin Arts Centre
This internationally recognised venue in the south of the Isle of Man is seen as one of the leading arts centres in the British Isles.
Overview
The Erin Arts Centre in Port Erin was founded in 1971 and has gone on to achieve international recognition for its range of prestigious festivals.
These include the Manannan International Festivals and the Barbirolli International Oboe Festival and Competition which both attract competitors of the highest calibre.
The venue is dedicated to music and the arts and has a large auditorium which can easily accommodate instrumental recitals, small orchestra ensembles, choral concerts and film screenings, without losing the intimacy required.
There is also a dedicated gallery space within the Erin Arts Centre – the Sir James Mellon Gallery – where exhibitions are regularly held offering visitors the chance to sample both music and art.
Theatre lovers will also enjoy the regular play festivals which are held throughout the year where visiting and local actors tread the boards – not to be missed!
