Golf
With a choice of nine well maintained golf courses including eight 18 hole courses and one nine hole course - the Isle of Man is something of a golfer’s paradise.
Overview
The Island’s favourable climate means golfing is a year round activity and with all nine courses located in close proximity to one another it’s easy to make time for a round or two!
Whichever course you choose to play at you’ll be surrounded by the Island’s sensational scenery and picturesque coastal views and there’s a good chance you’ll never face long queues while on the green.
If you’ve never played before why not take advantage of a private lesson? Many of the golf courses run lessons where experienced professional players will give you an introduction to the sport.
As well as spectacular greens many of the Island’s golf courses have their own driving ranges and offer buggy and equipment hire in their pro shops.
Visitors to Manx shores won’t stay strangers for long – you'll get a special Manx welcome at the club houses, many of which serve refreshments.

For some of the purest golf links anywhere in the British Isles visit Castletown Golf Links on the Langness peninsula which offers excellent coastal views and even the chance to see some marine wildlife as the area is a hotspot for seals and dolphins.
Don’t leave before paying a visit to Mount Murray in Santon – this 18 hole championship golf course provides a challenge for golfers of all abilities and has the Island’s only floodlit 24 bay driving range.
In the north of the Island you’ll find Glen Truan Golf Course which offers great views of the Scottish and Cumbrian coasts and a demanding course in Ramsey which was established well over 100 years ago.
In the west of the Island you’ll find Peel Golf Course - a varied course set through the pine tree plantations - and in the east a pay-and-play course at Pulrose as well as the King Edward Bay course in Onchan which affords some of the best views of the Island.
