The Hairy Bikers

The Hairy Bikers will be attending the festival throughout the weekend and they will be demonstrating their cooking skills in the Manx Food Live theatre on Saturday and Sunday.

On Saturday they will also be judging the final of the Great Manx Bake Off and on Sunday, the final of the I Love Manxchef competition.

The Hairy Bikers say that they always love coming back to the Isle of Man and are really excited to be part of the very first Isle of Man Food and Drink Festival.

“Our love affair with the Island and its food produce has developed over a number of years, right back to when we were children. In our very first television series we encountered the strange Isle of Man Loaghtan sheep, and set up a bikers’ feast of mouth-watering local lamb and the best scallops in the world on the beach at Douglas.

On our trip last year to the TT we cooked a delicious BBQ for 250 people using local produce from the island: Manx sea food, pork, fresh salad and vegetables. Food doesn’t get much better than that! The produce from the Isle of Man is very special.”
