Isle of Man Marathon & Half Marathon

The Isle of Man Veteran Athletes' Club will be hosting the 30th running of the Island's Marathon and Half Marathon road races on Sunday 10th August 2008. The races will be run over a looped course of quiet, rural roads to the north of Ramsey.

Although one of the UK's smallest marathon races in terms of numbers of runners, we are seriously "big" when it comes to hospitality, friendliness and value.

A free bus to/from the race venue will be available for runners staying in Douglas. All finishers receive a special commemorative medal, Tshirt and goody bag, and trophies will be awarded in all age groups. There will also be a buffet lunch provided.

For the past few years now we have welcomed walkers who want to complete the 13.1 mile Half Marathon. Apart from being a great event in it's own right, it is also excellent training for anyone wanting to tackle the longer End-to-End walk at the end of September.
