The Camels Back
A tour round the north of the Island with a couple of climbs and descents. As it is a circular route it can be ridden in either direction, this description is the anti-clockwise route.
Starting in Ballaugh village you approach the crossroads and cross the TT course and continue up the Druidale road ignore the left turn and continue past the old Ravensdale Hotel and into the plantation.

This is quite a steady climb through the plantation, on certain Sundays you may spot the Great Crested Downhiller as it sneaks quietly down the trails. As you exit the plantation the firetrack continues and rejoins the Druidale road, here you turn left heading back towards Ballaugh after approx ½ a mile the road turns sharp left, ahead you will see a Green Lane the track splits in two and you need to follow the left hand fork.

This track will lead you down the side of Mount Karrin and into the Tholt-e-Will valley; beware of motorcycles coming up this track.

From the end of this track turn left and take the next right into the Sulby Claddaghs, a nice place to stop and have a quick drink or snack, follow the road through the Claddaghs towards the Ginger Hall Pub, here you take a right onto the TT Course.

Approx 600 ft along the road you will see a Green Lane sign on the opposite side of the road, this is the start of the second climb up to Park Ne Earkan after what is a considerable climb off approx 2 miles you will come to a T-junction in the path where it joins the Millennium Way (approx grid ref SC 412 925 GPS 54 18.215 004 26.437) here you join the Millennium Way back towards Ramsey, descending Sky Hill after the descent you approach the main rd again, here you have the choice of turning left and heading back to Ballaugh via the Ginger Hall, Sulby Glen and The Raven or you could head in to Ramsey for refreshments there, either way you follow the TT Course in a reverse direction heading back to the start point at Ballaugh.

Please be aware these routes are only a guide, you should familiarise yourself with the route before riding and carry a GPS or Ordnance Survey Map sheet 95
