National Sports Centre
Sports Halls
The focal point of the dry sports facilities is a 44 x 36m (ten badminton courts) Main Sports Hall with a “Junckers” sprung beech floor and a 9.1m clear height over the whole of its area. Equipment is available to International specifications for most sports, together with electronic scoreboards and a public address system with full music and radio microphone facilities.
The Main Hall can be divided into 2 x 5 badminton court halls, which provides the flexibility necessary to cater for most indoor sports and recreational activities.
There is also a Secondary Sports Hall measuring 32 x 17m (four badminton court size) which enables even more flexibility for programming a variety of activities, e.g. special netting and equipment has been provided for cricket and archery practice.
