Sports Training Programme
Training Opportunities for adults in Sport

The table below details the training courses which are to be facilitated over the course of the 2007/2008 school year. The training courses will be aimed at the following groups of people:
- Primary School Teachers
- Students (aged 16+) interested in widening their coaching knowledge
- Parent Helpers wishing to get involved in coaching

Each of the Primary Schools attending the training are encouraged to go away after the course and facilitate an afterschool club for a period of 6 - 8 weeks. At the end of the 6 - 8 weeks , MSR in conjunction with the Governing Body of that Sport will host an Inter-Schools Festival. This will provide the children with the opportunity to practice the new skills they have gained during their after school club sessions in a more competitive environment. The dates for the after school clubs/tournaments are listed in the table below:

Following the Sports Tournament, each child will be provided with a flyer to take home with them detailing when and where they can continue playing that particular sport outside of school time. For example following the Tag Rugby tournament details of Castletown RUFC and Southern Nomads RUFC will be provided to children. Including the date/time/venue of their junior sessions and contact details for the coaches.
