Coach Induction
All coaches employed by the Sports Development Unit MUST attend a 2 hour Coach Induction Workshop. This workshop reviews the Sports Development Unit's policies & procedures and the expectations of all coaches when delivering activities under the banner of Manx Sport & Recreation.
The Coach Induction Workshop is run once a year prior to the Summer Programme as this is our major coach recruitment period. The next Coach Induction Workshop will be run on:
19th July 2008 at Keyll Daree commencing at 6.15pm
If there are any coaches who wish to commence employment with the Sports Development Unit before this date, providing that the Sports Development Team are satisfied you have met the relevant criteria, employment can commence on the condition that:
- You attend the next available Coach Induction Workshop
- You read through the attached Coach Induction Pack
- You complete the Coach Induction Question Paper (and pass with 70% or higher)
For coaches that are already employed by the Sports Development Unit, any changes and / or additions to the Coach Induction Pack will now be available for you to download here. In addition copies of all session plans can be found for you to download at the bottom of this page. These will be a key resource to assist you will the delivery of the activities. An email or letter will be sent to you requesting that you read the latest changes to the Coach Induction Pack.
Please find below Edition 4 of the Coach Induction Pack, a document containing All of the Forms you will need to be familiar with as a Coach and the Coach Induction Question Paper.
