Walk & Talk
![]() | Looking for a new, fun way of keeping in shape? Then look no further! 'Walk & Talk' offers a more gradual and less ambitious approach to exercise. the concept is simple - Walk & Talk allows you to walk at your own pace around a designated circuit and a record is kept of the distance you walk at each session you attend. Manx Sport & Recreation arrange prizes for reaching certain 'milestones' - including, t-shirts, sweatshirts, coats, bags. MSR facilitate a number of Walk & Talk sessions throughout the week in differnt parts of the Island. Details of the sessions taking place in your region are listed below.... |
Walk & Talk in the East...
Walk & Talk sessions take place three times a week in Douglas at the National Sports Centre. Walkers register in the NSC main reception and use the outdoor athletics track to walk around and record their miles. The session times are as follows:
Tuesday's & Friday's between 10.00am - 11.30am
Monday's between 5.30pm - 7.30pm
Walk & Talk in the North...
A Walk & Talk session is held weekly in Ramsey. Walkers register at Ramsey Rugby Club and follow the circuit around Mooragh Park to clock up their miles. The session time is as follows:
Wednesday's between 10.00am - 11.30am
Walk & Talk in the West...
The Walk & Talk circuit in the West is along Peel Promenade. Walkers meet weekly at the Harbour Lights Cafe on Peel Promenade on:
Thursday's between 10.00am - 11.30am
Walk & Talk in the South...
Southern 'Walk & Talkers' meet on a weekly basis in Poulsom Park Castletown. Registration takes place at Castletown Railway Station (next to the Viking Hotel) at the following times:
Monday's between 10.30am - 12.00pm
