HOME IMPROVEMENT GRANTS

The House Improvement and Energy Conservation Scheme 2013

The above Scheme, which came into effect on 1st December 2010, was introduced to financially assist home owners who also occupy their property in carrying out essential repairs and improvements to it. The 2010 Scheme has now expired but after an approval by Tynwald and the Council of Ministers, the Home Improvement and Energy Conservation Scheme 2013 will now be in place for two years until April 2015 on the same terms as the 2010 Scheme.

Please refer to the summary sheet in the table at the bottom of this page for details of the works that are eligible, and the qualifying criteria. It is important to note that all works covered by the Scheme are income assessed, and that applicants' taxable income cannot exceed £15,000 per annum in order to be eligible.

An application form for the Scheme is available in the table at the bottom of this page
