Welcome to the Civil Registry homepage. The Civil Registry is part of the Registries Section of the General Registry and is responsible for registering life events such as births, deaths, marriages and civil partnerships which take place on the Isle of Man.
The Civil Registry is in Douglas with registration services also being offered in Castletown (operated by Castletown Commissioners), Peel (operated by Peel Town Commissioners) and Ramsey (operated by Ramsey Town Commissioners). For contact details, please visit the Contact page.
The Civil Registry, including its ceremony room, is based on the ground floor of the Registries Building on Deemsters Walk, just off Bucks Road, opposite the Courts of Justice building in Douglas and is open to the public Monday to Thursday; 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. and Friday; 9.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. To assist you in locating the correct building, the picture below shows the public entrance to the Civil Registry.
With effect from 1st March 2014, Peel Town Commissioners will be providing a registration service at Peel Town Hall for the registration of births, deaths, marriages and civil partnerships.
