Advice to public bodies

Under thePublic Records Act the Isle of Man Public Record Office is responsible for the guidance, co-ordination and supervision of the safekeeping of Manx public records, the selection of the records to be preserved permanently and their transfer to the record office in due course.

Our guidance notes for officials and public bodies are now being supplemented by a series of short factsheets giving general guidance on a variety of topics including safekeeping and selection. These are available below for downloading.

Holders of public records are always welcome to contact us for further information and advice.
