Consumer Advisers also deal with enquiries from consumers experiencing tenancy problems. The Office has produced an advice leaflet explaining tenancy rights. Our Consumer Advisers can be contacted on 686500 or email us.
If you think your rent is too high, you may be entitled to apply to the Isle of Man Rent and Rating Appeal Commissioners. The Rent and Rating Appeal Commissioners have the power to approve a rent, or reduce it to a level they think is fair, or they may dismiss an application.
If you wish to pursue an application to the Commissioners you can get help and more information from the Clerk to the Commissioners on 685243.
