The two heritage shops at the Manx Museum in Douglas and the House of Manannan in Peel offer a unique opportunity to purchase quality gifts with a very distinctive Manx theme inspired by the culture and history of the Island.

Two of the most popular themes are products inspired by Archibald Knox, the well known Art Nouveau designer for Liberty’s, and Celtic, particularly those based on the large collection of Celtic and Norse stone cross slabs. These themes are reflected in the new ranges of jewellery, some of which are illustrated below:-

Gaut’s cross in Kirk Michael is one of the most distinctive and well known cross slabs the island has and Manx National Heritage has its own range of jewellery based on the cross head and one of the motifs carved into the stone as well as a clock, picture frame and paper knife.

The Manx Museum is open 10 to 5pm. Monday to Saturday and the House of Manannan is open seven days a week 10 am to 5pm.
