Restaurants and Tea Rooms - Eating Out at the Story of Mann

    

Manx National Heritage operates tearooms and restaurants at five historic venues on the Isle of Man. Our catering partners offer a welcoming atmosphere, value for money and traditional home cooking using products mostly sourced from local suppliers including Manx farmers, with menus containing some specialities unique to the Isle of Man.

The Niarbyl Café & Visitor Centre

Niarbyl CafeThe Niarbyl Cafe & Visitor Centre is set in one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in the Isle of Man and is the starting point to exploring the beauty of the surrounding area. Along with information on a series of specially made presentations about the area, high quality refreshments are available for the enjoyment of visitors.

Open Easter to October, 7 days a week from 10am to 9pm (last orders). From November to Easter open 11.00 am to 3.00 pm Monday to Friday, and 10.00 am to 5.00 pm Saturday and Sunday. For further details, including menu selections, please click here.

The Bay Room Restaurant at the Manx Museum in Douglas

Bayroom ResturantAt the Manx Museum in Douglas, the Bay Room Restaurant is a showcase for the Manx National Heritage sculpture collection. Overlooking Douglas Bay this popular venue makes a wonderful addition to a visit to the Manx Museum. The menu includes delicious home-made soups, salads and local dishes, in addition to home made cakes and afternoon teas with fresh cream scones.

The Sound Café & Visitor Centre , near Cregneash

Sound CafeThe Sound Visitor Centre offers a delightful café with a 180° view of the Calf of Man and the Sound. It has a light fresh interior and the smoked glass full length windows allow for uninterrupted views as you enjoy morning coffee, afternoon tea and dishes made from local Manx produce.

The Sound is open every day except Christmas Day. Monday to Friday from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm, Saturday and Sunday 10.00am to 5.00 pm.

From April to October The Sound will be open from 10.00 am to Sunset every day.

The Grove Conservatory Restaurant in Ramsey

The Conservatory Restaurant is the ideal location to enjoy fine food & refreshments in peaceful surroundings of the Grove. The menu includes a wonderful selection of home-made cakes as well as afternoon tea with fresh cream scones.

Open from Easter to October 7 days a week from 10am to 4.30pm. Closed during the winter months.

A delightful table d’ote menu is available on Friday and Saturday evenings between 6pm and 9.30pm (last orders) & early booking is advised.

The Village Tea Rooms at Cregneash

Situated in the heart of the National Folk Museum at Cregneash, the Village Tea Rooms offers a delicious menu including home-made broth, soups and salads, together with afternoon teas, scones & traditional Manx bonnag.
