The following copying charges and reproduction fees apply at the Manx National Heritage Library all prices quoted include VAT:

A4 / A3 Size Photocopies (Public)

• Full Charge A4 /A3 Size - 40 pence
• Student Rate A4/A3 Size – 10 pence

Print-outs (from microfilm and fiche)

• Full Charge - 80 pence
• Student Rate - 15 pence

Digital Prints

• Digital print from existing digital file
  • £12.00 (A4)
  • £26.00 (A3)

• New scan and print from existing negative/print etc
  • £16.00* (A4)
  • £30.00* (A3)

Conversion of video/film footage to DVD Out sourced

• Commercial cost + 30%

Origination (MNH Photographer and Image Library Manager)

• Photography guide price: subject to written estimate.
• Location and studio time - £50 per hour.
• New photography of oil paintings from national collection - £80 per image.
• Flat copy water colour painting or print - £30 per item

Digital Camera Capture (MNH Photographer and Image Library Manager)

• Approx A5 and A4 Capture @ 300dpi - £20 per image

Image Manipulation (MNH Photographer and Image Library Manager)

• Touch up, dust scratch removal etc - £30 per hour; based on a written estimate of the likely time required to complete the work.

Reproduction Fees £ per item (Inclusive of VAT)

Books, journals, periodicals, newspapers and electronic publications

• Manx publication - £30
• UK and Other - £60

Newspapers, press advertising, www, etc

The above charges refer only to non-exclusive, one-time Manx/English language rights interpreted as being either UK or Commonwealth or North American reproduction rights. NB: the fees for World rights are double the above charges.

Commercial Display/Public Display

• £100 (off Island)

Promotional/Commercial

• Book jackets/magazine covers
• Manx publication - £80
• UK and other - £160

Greeting cards, business cards, note-lets, calendars etc (Both paper based and electronic)

• Manx - £120
• UK and other - £250

Television and Film

• Regional UK - £50 per second
• Network UK - £100 per second
• EU - £150 per second
• North America - £150 per second

The above charges refer only to ‘one time’ non-exclusive transmission in the UK, EU and Commonwealth or North America. Repeat broadcasts would be charged at the same rate.

• World Wide Rights - £240 per second per item per transmission.
• Repeat broadcasts would be charged at the same rate.

Website Use

• Academic website per image used up to 3 years - £30
• Commercial website per image up to 1 year - £60
• Commercial website per imageup to 3 years - £100

Express Orders

• An excess fee of £50 will be charged on all commercial orders requiring completion and despatch within 5 working days.
