Marshal’s Armband

Many locals and visitors participate in the TT and other motor sport events as marshals, and it is fair to say that these events could not take place without their voluntary commitment of time. Technically, marshals are special constables, vested with authority from the police for the duration of the event, as indicated by this armband from the 1930s.
This armband is on display in the Manx Museum, Douglas.
