Bryan Kneale Tortoise Sculpture

Bryan Kneale is one of the most accomplished of the modern generation of Manx artists. In his early career he excelled as a painter, but later undertook a search for new directions, from which he emerged as a sculptor, having learnt the art of steel welding along the way. This piece was inspired by Kneale’s work on the bone collection at the Natural History Museum.

This sculture is on display in the Manx Museum, Douglas.
