Welcome to the Manx National Art Collection
Here you will find oil paintings, watercolours, sculptures and prints from the 18th century to the present day. A unique feature of the Manx National Art Collection is that all works are either by Manx artists or have a Manx-related subject matter.
These artworks all share something in common – the artist’s desire to try and capture a sense of Manxness and Manx identity. The National Art Collection shows the many ways in which artists have responded to the Island’s landscape and to the culture that surrounds us.
The artworks exhibited in the National Art Gallery at the Manx Museum have been divided into a series of themes:
