Flint scrapers with a distinctive hump-backed profile are one part of the toolkit of the Ronaldsway Farmers, a Neolithic culture in the Isle of Man. Scrapers were used in the preparation of animal skins, to remove meat and muscle residue from the skin, giving a clean inside surface to the hide.
This scraper is on display at the Manx Museum.
