DIAL B 4 U DIG is a free service provided by the MEA which is available to anyone plannning to do any kind of digging or excavation work. We can offer advice and support on locating our equipment and infrastructure and how to work safely around it.
Why?
It is Dangerous to damage an electricity cable and may result in :-
- Severe Injury or even death.
- Extensive loss of supply.
- Expensive repairs.
- Legal action against you.
This is fairly typical of the services and utilities that may be buried underground outside your property. Think about them before you start to dig or drive anything into the ground.
Planning Ahead
Before commencing any work you should talk to us well in advance.
You may need to complete a ESS (Electrical Site Safety form) and provide us with a location plan of the proposed works. When we have your detail we can provide a copy of our records for your site.
