Ways to Pay

By Direct Debit

Direct Debit is the modern, convenient way to pay bills. By joining the MEA's Monthly Budget Scheme on Direct Debit you can spread your electricity costs evenly throughout the year. The Main benefits of Direct Debit are; you will automatically receive the 2.5% discount, you will save time, money back guarantee, advance notice of any changes, freedom to cancel at any time, completely risk free, simple to arrange, makes budgeting easier, and it is completely free to set up. Currently, 46% of MEA Customers are using Direct Debit as their method of payment. You will also receive an additional £6.60 discount per annum.

Online

You can Pay your Electricity Bill, Invoice or Deposits Online with your Credit or Debit Card. Simply register with IoM Government Online and follow the steps. Futher help and assistance is available using the IoM Government Online Services help facility, located on the left hand side of their webpage. Please note that there is a 2% charge if you wish to pay by credit card.

By Telephone

You may pay your bill by Debit Card by calling our Customer Services Team on 687687 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30am to 4:30pm on Fridays.

By Post

Please make your cheque payable to Manx Electricity and write your name, address and account number on the reverse. Send your cheque, together with the tear-off section from the bottom of your account to, PO Box 177, Douglas, IOM, IM99 1PS.

Payment of electricity accounts may be made by cash or cheque (made payable to “Isle of Man Post Office”) at any Isle of Man Post Office.

If you are unable to pay your bill, please contact our Customer Services Department on 687675. We have several payment schemes to help you spread the cost.
