Where a new supply capacity or supply alteration is required, a Preliminary Enquiry Form is to be submitted at an early stage, so that the arrangements and costs of providing the supply are agreed, before Customers installation work is undertaken at the premises.

The submission of this form is not binding on the applicant to proceed with any intended project, or on the MEA to accept the load concerned until a quotation and terms for the provision or reinforcement of supply has been made and accepted.

The information requested on the application is essential information required to assist the MEA in providing you with a quotation. If you are unsure where to obtain this information please contact your consultant/electrical advisor. Failure to provide the information requested will delay us being able to process your application.

In addition to the completion of this form, the MEA requires a location sketch and a plan indicating a suitable meter position which must be agreed by the MEA.

Enquiries may attract a design fee before any work is undertaken. The MEA will advise the amount if required when your application is received.
